As you know, the summer Festival of Learning and Teaching is running throughout June. There has been a fantastic response from teams across the university with every faculty offering workshops.
Some sessions are filling up fast, others still have plenty of spaces . . . we want every presenter to have an audience!
There is a varied and eclectic programme of short sessions which should allow people to get involved in a discussion, find out about ongoing research or try something new without giving up a whole day.
Sessions are running across the Manchester and Cheshire campuses and there is something for everyone in your team to get involved with.
We’d be really grateful if you and your colleagues can sign up for sessions; and perhaps identify particular sessions which match your interests around learning technology, or assessment, or inclusive practice, or induction, for instance? There are several sessions on internationalisation and interdisciplinary working and a ‘Ready Steady Teac’h game show at the end of the month.
There are even some PARM sessions planned for anyone coming up for programme review or with a new course on the way.
We’ll be offering a prize draw entry to anyone who attends three or more Festival sessions. Colleagues can also use attendance at the Festival sessions to form a basis for a FLEX portfolio which they can use for credit towards a PGC in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, or an MA in Higher Education, or to support an application for Higher Education Academy professional recognition such as Fellowship of the HEA.
Collaborative partners and other guests are welcome to attend sessions.
