On 29-30 June, Brooks Building will host FRIHSC 2016 – the Faculty Research In High Summer Conference in the Faculty of Health, Psychology and Social Care. FRIHSC will play host to a wide range of keynote speakers, seminars and poster presentations, from academics working in disciplines covering all four departments in the Faculty, and beyond.
Keynote speakers at this year’s Conference are:
- Prof Debora Price, Director of MICRA, University of Manchester
- Dr Esther Ignagni, Visiting Research Fellow at MMU and Assistant Professor, School of Disability Studies, Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada
- Prof Alan Wrench, Consultant, CASL Research Centre, Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh
- Prof Vicky Joffe, Associate Dean, School of Health Sciences, City University, London
In addition we will also have two exciting launch events: for the Behaviour Change Network; and the Social Change: Community Wellbeing Research Centre.
We will have information stands from some of the winners of this year’s Community Research Awards, and from Dr Carly Jim on Neurofibromatosis. There will also be awards presented for the best posters, as well as to our brightest and best research staff and students from the last year.
