Bridging the Gap Graduations
Staff across Services attended the Bridging the Gap graduation ceremonies in Manchester and Cheshire for the students who have undertaken placements with Services teams this year.
The Manchester students received their certificates from Director of Human Resources, Adam Bowles, and students in Crewe, from Janet Haddock-Fraser Provost of the Cheshire Campus. Staff also received certificates for their great contribution.
The students all had the opportunity to make a speech about their experience, where they thanked staff for their support during the year. The students have developed their professional and personal skills during the year and are grateful for the opportunity. “This has changed my life”, said Lisa, who has worked in Manchester. Well done to everyone!

Welcome to Manchester Met
Welcome to Phil Scott who has recently joined us as Head of Commercial Services. Phil comes from a hospitality background and is looking forward to working in Higher Education: “What’s struck me in my first few weeks in role is the enthusiasm and passion of each and every individual I have met, none more so than when attending the recent Staff Awards. I’m incredibly excited by the opportunities that lay ahead for us all and I am determined to do all I can to ensure that I and my team continue to focus on delivering an outstanding student experience. For those individuals I’ve met to date, thanks for your time and patience, and for those I haven’t, I look forward to and I apologise in advance for the ‘silly questions’”.
