MANCHESTER Metropolitan University is proud to be a Stonewall Diversity Champion, and will once again be submitting an assessment against Stonewall’s Workplace Equality Index (WEI).
The WEI is a benchmarking exercise that measures our efforts to tackle discrimination and create an inclusive workplace for our lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees.
The WEI assesses institutions on issues such as HR policies, staff engagement, and the role of senior management in creating an inclusive work environment. To supplement the evidence submitted by the University, Stonewall seeks feedback directly from our staff through a questionnaire. Last year, Stonewall received responses from over 50,000 employees across the country and from different sectors. These responses provided a robust dataset for Stonewall to assess the impact of Diversity Champions in progressing equality issues in the workplace.
Manchester Met staff are encouraged to complete the 2017 questionnaire, which will remain open until Friday, November 4, 2016. Responses are confidential and will go directly to Stonewall.
