People news: welcome, farewell, charity

Manchester Law School:

Rob Gardham has been appointed as Programmes Administrator for the LPC Programme. Rob has gained a lot of experience supporting both the LPC and BPTC professional law programmes since joining the team over 18 months ago.

Farewell:

The Library said goodbye to Ben Crabstick last week who will be starting a new job at JISC but will be a ‘loss to the team at the Library’.

The Library will also be saying goodbye and good luck to Laura Green, one of their Graduate Trainees, who is going to work for Manchester Law firm Addleshaw Goddard LLP. Laura’s new role will be Knowledge and Research Services Co-ordinator and the Library wish her the best of luck and thank her for all her hard work this last year.

Andrea Daly will also be leaving the Library this Friday to go on maternity leave. She will be missed, but the team wish her the best of luck and look forward to seeing her soon with her new baby in tow!

Farewell and good luck also to Catherine Seville from the Business Support and Improvement Team who has left this week to go on maternity leave. Her colleagues wish her all the best!

Farewell to Scott Gregory who has recently left the Estates team after eight years at Manchester Met. We wish him the best in his new role at the Institute of Occupational Medicine.

A fond farewell to Lucy Banks of the IT Training team who after nine years has left the University for a new role at the University of Salford as a Consultant Trainer.

Welcome:

Welcome to Dr Sarah May who is joining the Library on 15 August as a Research Data Coordinator to work with researchers to set up a research data archive for managing their data.

Sarah comes to the team with a wealth of experience of working with different groups at Manchester Met in her previous role as Equality and Diversity Coordinator. Sarah will be working alongside the Research Support Librarian and the Open Access Librarian within the Digital Library Services Team.

Faye Christiansen recently joined the Facilities Directorate working on a project basis to develop marketing around the Sports Institute.
