Box of Broadcasts (BoB) is an archive of clips, programmes and films for students and staff.
BoB has been upgraded over the summer and is now using HTML5, so programmes can play across iOS and Android devices.
The system now links to 1.5 million broadcasts, with content dating back to the 1990s. Daily recording limit has risen from five to ten, and making clips no longer eats into your recording limit.
The first time you log in to the new interface using the link on the Library website: http://libguides.mmu.ac.uk/bob you should be prompted to re-register. You will then get the option to import everything that you had previously saved. If this does not happen, please follow the advice from BoB below:
- Clear your cache and cookies or use a new browser.
- Make sure that you have re-registered in BoB with the same email you were using before the summer, as all your playlists and clips are linked to that account.
- Also, please check that that address is the one listed in your personal details on BoB, by clicking on ‘Account Details’.
The web address (URL) has changed which has unfortunately broken the links you may previously have created in Moodle or elsewhere. Remember to check these before you teach.
BoB has removed the multi-clip option, so if anyone has created a longer clip consisting of several short clips, this has now been lost and will be shown as separate clips.
