Paranoid, ITV’s new thriller filmed at Manchester Metropolitan University

Manchester Metropolitan University is in the spotlight as one of the film locations in the new ITV drama Paranoid, an eight-part conspiracy thriller, with the first episode aired on Thursday 22 September 2016.

Filming took place at Manchester Met over four days in the summer with scenes shot in Geoffrey Manton, Benzie and John Dalton. You may be able to recognise the campus locations in some of the scenes.

The drama is set in Cheshire and stars Neil Stuke, Indira Varma, Kevin Doyle, Lesley Sharp, Dino Fetscher and Robert Glenister.  Written and created by Bill Gallagher, produced by Red Production Company, commissioned by ITV.

Manchester Metropolitan University continues to be a popular location for dramas and documentaries. The Manchester Met Conference and Events team processes all film enquiries, and are the first point of contact, to discuss space and available resource.  If the filming goes ahead, a licence is issued on receipt of all relevant documentation.
