2016 Contribution Zone – Notice to Eligible Staff and their Managers
This is a notice for all members of staff who are eligible for progression into this year’s Contribution Zone and their managers who will be conducting Contribution Planning Assessments (CPAs).
The eligibility criteria are that staff are:
- employed directly by the University on either a fixed term or permanent contract
- paid on the single pay spine between grades 1-10
- at the top of their pay grade for 12 months or more as at 1 August, or;
- already in the Contribution Zone with further points available for progression
The Contribution Zone Scheme is designed to reward those individuals whose contribution significantly exceeds that which is normally expected in their role on a sustained basis, and shows evidence of particular success and effectiveness. The contribution should relate to activities they have undertaken in the previous 12 months, whilst they have been at the maximum point of their grade.
All staff that are eligible to apply for 2016 have been contacted by email (from firstname.lastname@example.org) or by post to home address.
A number of resources are available to explain the Contribution Zone application process in further detail and are all available on the HR website under HR Documents, Forms & Templates. Click on the Guidance, Procedures & Handbooks tab, Contribution Zone Scheme Guidance Notes, and then Resources to view additional information. If you require any assistance in accessing this information, please let us know.
Briefing sessions are available to staff who have been invited to apply, have not attended training in the past and are strongly considering submitting an application. These sessions are bookable via myHR by searching ‘contribution’.
