Manchester School of Art Outreach team will be launching their book A Whisper to a Shout.
The book is a culmination of a yearlong project exploring the story of the Peppered Moth within Arts and Science curriculums. The project has examined how we can use Creative Methodologies in schools and the wider community. Referencing the story of the Peppered Moth and themes such as climate change, transformation and human impact upon environments, the event celebrates the achievements of all participants and partners throughout the project.
Aimed at educators, teachers and creative delivery specialists who wish to engage with this method of working, the book will act as a resource for future engagement with the Peppered Moth and themes within the project.
The team will be launching the resource book on Thursday 17 November 2016 in the Benzie Building Foyer at Manchester School of Art, Manchester Metropolitan University between 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
The launch is for anyone who has been involved in the Peppered Moth Project or for anyone interested in how to get involved in the future. Come and speak to the project team directly, hear a Poetry reading, meet the people who made the project possible, and get a copy of the book to take away with you. This will also be an opportunity to see a private view of Artist in Residence, Ant Hamlyn’s response to the Peppered Moth story.
To book, please contact Elle by email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Please RSVP before Monday 10th November 2016.
The Manchester School of Art Outreach team would like to thank our funders, Greater Manchester Higher for supporting the Peppered Moth project.
