Due to the discovery of a void beneath the carriageway on Oxford Road, some journeys around the All Saints area may take a little longer than usual.
Transport for Greater Manchester’s work in the area has uncovered what looks like an underground void that has been there for some time – not uncommon due to the Victorian infrastructure that makes up a lot of our city.
Manchester City Council are now addressing the problem as part of their maintenance schedule.
Oxford Road remains open in both directions however there are lane closures in operation, and the bus stop for services towards the City Centre at All Saints has been closed, with a temporary stop located nearby beneath the Mancunian Way.
