Professor Mark Stubbs, Head of LRT, presented this month at Jisc’s event: ‘Beyond learning analytics: collaboration, interoperability and standards in higher education learning data’.
Hosted by The Knowledge Media Institute at The Open University, the event provided the opportunity for key Higher Education academics to work more collaboratively in order to proactively use our data and analytics; including improvements to our systems, data capture and tools in order to make this happen.
Professor Mark Stubbs provided attendees with an insight into Manchester Metropolitan’s sector-leading work on using data to improve the student experience.
Sessions at the event also included ‘Towards an Education Dataspace: Issues, Challenges and Opportunities’ and ‘Towards a Shared Data and Analytics Architecture’ as well as presentations from academics showcasing their work from a range of universities including University College London and University of Cambridge.
