Digital printing at Manchester Metropolitan: what services are there?

You probably know the Print Services team offers a full one-stop reprographics service, down in the JD Sheds. You may also know that right next door, there’s a cutting edge in-house 3D Print service.

But did you know that Print Services also offers the best value for money locally, with prices significantly lower than local competitors? The service also now offers self-service business cards as well as a full range of stationery items and promotional print.

That’s right – and it’s as easy as logging in here, typing in your details… then taking delivery just a day or two later.

The Digital Store Front (DSF) is a responsive web interface which looks great on any sized screen giving you much more freedom and control over your bulk printing requests.

This isn’t the only change for Print Services, though – for the first time ever the service now offers a Signage & Label printing service – so come to us first before ordering any signs, we can beat most prices by 15-20%.

3D Print, previously managed by HOBS, has now been brought in-house. There are ground-breaking possibilities offered by digital manufacture – so Ed Keefe, the 3D print Manager, has joined Research Fellow and Reconstructive Scientist Liz Gill to organise an open day so you can all come and marvel in person. See here for details of the open day on December 7.

There are lots of new and exciting plans in the works for all aspects of digital print and manufacture at Manchester Met, so look out for our updates over the next few months!
