More than 140 members of staff have been awarded Professional Recognition in 2016 through the Manchester Metropolitan Professional Standards Framework (PSF) scheme, led by the University’s Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) and accredited by the Higher Education Academy.

Fellowship is gained through the Recognition scheme or through the PG Cert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.

Professor Helen Laville, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education, Penny Sweasey, Head of CELT, and Kath Botham who leads the PSF Scheme, presented awards to a number of Associate Fellows, Fellows, Senior and Principal Fellows at an awards celebration earlier this year.

Professor Laville commented on the commitment to innovation and creativity in their teaching and the importance of such staff in securing the future learning experience of our students at a time when the Teaching Excellence Framework was shining a spotlight on the quality of universities’ strategy for teaching.
