Some of the most exciting names in Augmented and Virtual Reality come to Manchester Metropolitan for a conference hosted by the Creative Augmented Virtual Reality Hub in the Faculty of Business & Law’s School of Tourism, Events and Hospitality, and supported by Hub Director, Dr Timothy Jung.
International AR & VR Conference 2017 will focus on exploring cutting edge Augmented and Virtual Reality concepts, applications and business models, which shape our everyday life, place and businesses.
The one-day conference offers a speaker programme with leading experts from industry, an interactive exhibition space that will display some of the most exciting technologies in the market today, and ‘drop in’ sessions for delegates to hear academic papers on Tourism, Retail, Marketing, Health, Museum Experience, Mixed Realities & the Future Cities and Interface Design.
Dr Timothy Jung, Director of the Augmented and Virtual Reality Hub at Manchester Metropolitan University, said: “There is huge potential in the AR/VR sector and it is predicted that global revenues will reach $162 billion in 2020, and 2017 will be a big year for AR and VR in business
“This conference will provide a great opportunity for academia and business communities in the North West to come together, share experiences and learn about the latest trends in AR & VR. The conference will be taking place at the Business School on the February 23, featuring an impressive line-up of speakers, from academia, and industry.
During the conference, delegates will get the chance to network with those leading the field in AR and VR, and find out how these emerging technologies can be used. There will also be exhibitions from companies at the frontline of AR and VR technology, showing delegates how these companies are putting the technology to work to benefit their businesses.
