Priority opportunities for Staff at this year’s Manchester International Festival


Manchester Metropolitan University is proud to be a Gold supporter of this year’s Manchester International Festival (MIF).

And with it brings some exciting opportunities for staff and students.

MIF has forged a global reputation as a festival of all new work and special events created by international artists. This year MIF, which marks the Festival’s tenth anniversary, has events running from 29 June to 16 July.

The Festival takes place at venues all over the city with a range of events from dance and drama to music, art and much more.

Some major events have already been announced and the full schedule of events will be released on 9th March. We have some news about special staff and student benefits:

  • All staff will get priority booking access 12 hours ahead of the general public, from 7pm on Thursday 9th Full details on how to book tickets and gain access will be further communicated later in the week.
  • Priority opportunity for staff and students to join the popular MIF Volunteer Scheme. Volunteers can develop new skills, share expertise, join an enthusiastic community and give something back to the city. Full details will be revealed shortly, and applications open on 9th March.   • 20% staff discount (£45 rather than £55 in 2015) to join the Festival Member scheme, offering tickets for dress rehearsals, priority booking from 2pm on 9th March and discount on Festival Square.
