Applications for the University’s First Generation scheme to help young people to become the first in their family to go to university opened earlier this month and the University’s Recruitment & Admissions and Widening Participation teams have already visited four colleges to spread the good news.
Year 12 students are invited to be a part of the first cohort of our First Generation programme. First Generation was established to help bright, young people, from backgrounds that do not usually enter higher education, to secure an undergraduate place at Manchester Metropolitan and then provide continued financial, professional and personal support throughout their studies and into employment.
As staff, you already do so much for the University everyday but you can do more to benefit our deserving students – there are many ways to get involved:
