The Manchester Metropolitan University Catering Team has been named Team of the Year at the Cost Sector Catering magazine awards for 2017. The award recognises the amazing results that can be achieved by getting a group of individuals working to collective aims and objectives.
The prestigious annual awards ceremony was held at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel on April 20th. Each year the Cost Sector Catering Awards provide the highlight of the foodservice and catering calendar, and provide recognition to individuals and teams leading the way.
A judging panel of 24 industry experts had the difficult task of sifting through more than 150 nominations and were impressed by the University’s service and collaborative success.
Jacqui McPeake, Head of Catering at Manchester Metropolitan University, said: “We are delighted to receive the Cost Sector Catering Award Team of The Year 2017. It is fantastic to be recognised at such a prestigious event with colleagues across the industry.
“I am very proud of the Manchester Metropolitan Catering Team. This particular award reflects the teamwork and dedication shown by everyone in the team to support our work on raising Allergen Awareness at our University. The Managers and all the staff really understood my passion and determination to raise awareness of this topic. I am so proud of each and every member of my catering team and thank them for their support.”
