The National Student Survey (NSS) is an annual survey that gives our final year undergraduate students the opportunity to reflect on their student experience at Manchester Metropolitan and provide feedback about their course.
Student feedback from the NSS helps the University to improve the academic experience for our current and future students and also contributes towards the University’s scores in league tables.
The University has set a target to achieve an overall response rate of 63% for the NSS by the end of our promotional campaign ‘Click it. Fill it. Win it.’ on Wednesday, 28th February.
All University staff are encouraged to promote the survey with students at relevant opportunities, but please be mindful that HEFCE have issued clear guidelines to universities about what can and cannot be said to students about the NSS. Please read the guidelines here before discussing the survey with eligible students.
To encourage maximum participation in this year’s NSS without the distraction of additional surveys, please refrain from surveying final year undergraduates during January and February 2018.
If you have any questions about the incentives and promotion of the NSS, please contact Sarah Starkey – firstname.lastname@example.org or on ext. 3499. For questions relating to any other aspect of the survey, please contact Ron Hamilton – R.Y.Hamilton@mmu.ac.uk or on ext. 1050.
