Ready, steady, go! This Sunday, 600 Team Orange runners will be showing Manchester what makes them #McrMetProud at the Great Manchester Run.
Whether you’re taking on the 10k challenge, cheering on our runners or you just want to get involved in a fantastic day of fun, we want to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the action!
Schedule for the day
All the fun starts at 12.00 at All Saints Park (or the Business School North Atrium if it’s raining) where Vice-Chancellor, Professor Malcolm Press will be wishing our Team Orange runners luck before the start of the race.
At 12.15, it’s say cheese for the camera, as our runners will be getting their Team Orange pictures taken and, if you’re not running, what a great opportunity for you to capture some great snaps of your friends, family and colleagues in their Team Orange colours.
Our MMU Sport colleagues will then escort our Team Orange runners to the White Wave starting point at 12.30 and everyone else can head over to our Team Orange cheer spot (it’s only a short tram ride to Exchange Quay), make sure to look out for lots of orange banners.
And they’re off – our Team Orange runners start the Great Manchester Run with the White Wave at 13.25 with our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Malcolm Press, setting off the runners with a local celebrity.
Please read our Great Manchester Run day information guide for more details about our cheer spot, bag drop-off times, information for our Cheshire runners, car parking and more about the fun activities we have planned for the day.
Please get in touch with email@example.com if you have any questions.
Good luck to everyone taking part and let’s make lots of noise and show our #McrMetProud team spirit for our runners this Sunday.
